Have you ever had a fruit fly buzz around your head, driving you nuts? We probably all have experienced that at one time or another, and it is a very unpleasant experience, but did you know that there is another bug that you can find in your home that could easily be mistaken for a fruit fly? This is something called a sewer gnat. Just like the name indicates, they are coming out of your sewer, and they might prove to be a lot more difficult to get rid of than fruit flies. The sewer gnat nests are located inside of your sewer pipes, and to remove them, you need the help of a tool like a drain snake.

Some have tried getting rid of the nests using boiling hot water, bleach, or other methods, but the problem is that most of the time, some of the larvae survive inside the nest, only to repopulate quickly.
